3D Rhinestone Flowers (Kundan Flowers) - Tutorial

Rhinestone or Kundan flowers makes very beautiful gift for any Occasion and can add beauty to any part of your house. They might look as lots of work but these pretty flowers are really easy to make. You don’t need any special skills or tools to make these flowers.

So here I would like to share step by step tutorial to make Rhinestone flowers

Material Required

• 5 or 6 Rhinestones or Kundan (pre-drilled with two holes) in any desired colors and shapes (for one flower)
• 24 gauge artistic wire (your choice of color)
• Green florist’s tape
• 30 or 32 gauge of paddle wire for assembly
• Wire cutter
• Wire pliers
• Assorted beads for making flower centre (optional)
• Small Earthen pot (optional)
• Floral Sponge or Plaster of paris (optional)
• Moss grass or pebbles (optional)
• Wool (optional)
• Embellishments for pot (optional)

Petals

1. Cut your 24 gauge wire in desired length
2. As you can see below, there will be two holes on either side of your Rhinestone

3. String Rhinestone from front-side into the lower hole with wire
4. Pull through enough wire

5. Now string Rhinestone from back-side into the upper hole

6. Tug wire gently and pull it up straight
7. Now fold it down and twist it tightly

8. Cut the desired length, this makes one petal
9. Make 5 or 6 petals for one flower in a same way

Flower Stamens (optional)
1. Cut 25cms long wire
2. String 6 beads and place them in centre of your wire
3. Now run one end of the wire thorough 3 beads in a row
4. Gently pull both the wires in opposite direction to form a circle
5. String one different colored bead on the wire, which went through 3 beads earlier
6. Pull the bead down and twist both end of wire
7. Your basic bead flower stamen is ready.

Leaves (optional)
• Make leaves with green Rhinestones , by following same steps as petals
• Artificial leaves can also be used

Pot (optional)
• Wrap wool around the earthen pot and add hot glue
• Embellish pot in whatever way you want, I used pearls circled with gold glitter here

Assembly
• Gather petals around stamen without any gaps and twist them tightly with plier
• Snuggly wrap a paddle wire to secure it
• Cover entire stem with florist’s tape
• Arrange flowers as desired

So as you see anyone can make these stunning flowers, give it a try and you will love the results

Have a Creative Day

  1. Thank you for giving lovely comments, As far as concern about veiner, I made it by using cold porcelain, but these day totally engaged in designing own veiners plus cutters and gathering information of resin material. InshaAllah soon share it. I have seen all your blog posts. Really you have done a fantastic work.
