Recycle old Pantyhose Into Beautiful Flowers - Stocking Flowers

Stocking Flowers, also known as Nylon Stocking and Pantyhose Flowers makes beautiful flower arrangement. The sheerness of fabric gives flowers an exquisite look and soft pastel colors of these flowers give an natural air spray look.

Stocking Flowers are easy to make. Fun and fast way to add touch of elegance to your home under $5

Stocking flowers making is very popular craft in Asia, but not much known in USA that’s why, I was not able to find any supplies in my local craft stores, so I bought couple of Off White Pantyhose from Wal-Mart for 30 cents each and hand dyed them with Rit Dye colors.
I used 24 gauge wires for petal frame and 18 gauge wires for stem

It an excellent way to recycle old panty hoses.

I simply love the soft hues of these flowers

As for the base pot, I recycled a nut container. I hot glued jute twine, added a piece of lace and finally embellish it with polymer clay buttons.

This bunch is perfect spring decor item on budget.

Here is a quick video for basic stocking flower making.

Well that's all for now.

See you soon,

Have a creative day

Shahana.

  13. I am smiling because all of you young women have amazing ideas, and carry them out beautifully. I am an old lady who remembers her mother making these flowers at a women's meeting in the 1950s, but I have never seen any since. And, no, they weren't using pantyhose, but women had lots of stockings with seams and runs in them.

I came across your blog from another of the same ilk, and an enjoying all of them.
